Portsmouth boss Tony Adams has cooled talk of former Arsenal teammate Dennis Bergkamp joining his coaching staff.
On Tuesday night the duo were spotted in deep conversation during the Blues' reserve-team clash with the Gunners at Underhill, sparking rumours of a south-coast reunion.
But Adams insists it was nothing more than a coincidence. And he revealed Bergkamp will definitely not be joining him at Pompey.
He said: "There was nothing in it - just a case of two plus two equals five, I'm afraid. Dennis has been doing his pro-licence at Arsenal, he was there for three days this week. It was lovely to see him at Barnet to be honest - but a complete coincidence.
"Me, Steve Bould and Dennis had a good old step back in time, a good reminisce, it was lovely to see him again. He's over at Arsenal learning and studying and he's happy with the Ajax under-10s, he's really enjoying working with kids out there.
"I'm not even sure he wants to go any higher yet."
