Portsmouth boss Adams happy with rare full week of training

Portsmouth boss Tony Adams was delighted to get a full week of training.

He said: "It's fantastic, we can get into the training pitch and do some work this week and I'm excited about that.

"In recent weeks it's just been prepare, prepare, prepare from game to game to game and the players have been doing great, they've been fantastic.

"But I just want to work on a few more things and I do enjoy it, just getting out there and doing some work is lovely. We can do loads of stuff. You can actually do defensively, offensively, some crossing, some shooting.

"Preparation is getting out the set-plays and getting the team into a little bit of shape ready for the next game, there is hardly anything you can do with the physical levels.

"But on a free week like this you can actually get some technical work done so I will be doing some work. I won't give away my secrets but I'll be doing some work so we can still put in performances at Fratton Park."
