Portsmouth boss Tony Adams has played down talk of deals for Real Madrid striker Javier Saviola and AC Milan midfielder Emerson.

"That is just what you read in the papers - nothing more," said Adams.

"In all honesty, we've probably looked at the possibility of about 150 players who might be available to bring in here but since December I've been made very well aware.

that we are on a budget and I'm trying hard to work it.

"I would still like perhaps two more, a striker and maybe a midfielder before the window closes but I'm not going to talk about other clubs' players. It's a difficult market and there are plenty of top people (clubs) out there with big money."
