Portsmouth boss Tony Adams is confident he'll be able to spend in the January market.
Adams said: "In the recent history at Portsmouth Football Club the owner has been 100 per cent behind his manager, that just happened to be Harry Redknapp, and he has made no inclination not to be 100 per cent behind me.
"Harry bought this player and that player and let one or two others go. I want to keep improving the squad and in January I will look to get a couple of players in to keep things ticking over.
"Managers are judged by recruitment and managers should be sacked based on that - it's a big part of the game."
