Portsmouth Belhadj could make lucrative move to Qatar

Portsmouth defender Nadir Belhadj could turn down a move to West Ham and join Qatari club Al-Sadd.

Reports suggest that the Algeria international, who is set to play a key role for his country at the World Cup, may snub the opportunity to join the Hammers with former Pompey boss Avram Grant and take up the offer in the Middle East.

Al-Sadd had a bid of £1.5million rejected last week but it is believed they will come back a much-improved offer.
