Portsmouth administrator Andrew Andronikou has concerns they will lose coach Paul Groves to Avram Grant's West Ham United.
Andronikou admitted he feared the ex-Grimsby boss could be tempted away before the week is out.
He told The News: "I do not really know what Avram has planned, I have to wait until he is back in the country tomorrow.
"I have fears he will take Paul, though. The fact is there will be some coaching changes at West Ham. It doesn't take a nuclear physicist to work that one out. Avram will definitely looking for a number two and I imagine Paul may come into his thoughts.
"I speak to Avram all the time and he has not mentioned anything. Paul hasn't either.
"But in football it can change overnight - and I am concerned. We will do our best to keep the coaching staff, but it is down to individual choices. There is nothing you can do about that. If Paul wants to go there is no point in keeping an unhappy person
"We want him to stay, definitely. But you never know."
