Porto refused to budge on price for Man City pair Mangala, Fernando

Manchester City were forced to pull out of talks with Porto for Eliaquim Mangala and Fernando yesterday.

The Daily Mail says negotiations continued throughout Friday and City had a private jet on standby to fly both players to Manchester, but were ultimately not prepared to meet Porto’s valuation.

City were prepared to pay £35 million for the pair, but Porto were insisting on much more.
