Porto fullback Alvaro Pereira insists he doesn't regret missing out on a summer move to Chelsea.

Pereira remains a target for Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas ahead of the January market.

"I was glad that such an important club showed interest in signing me," the full-back told Monte Carlo TV.

"If the transfer did not happen it was for some reason, and I am sure that fate holds something better for me.

"I look at this as something positive, rather than a negative thing in my career. All I have to do is look forward and continue to work."
