Newcastle United have made an enquiry regarding FC Porto defender Rolando according to the Daily Mail.
The Magpies are looking to strengthen their squad this summer and it is believed that the 27-year old Cape Verde-born Portugal international is high on their radar.
Toon boss Alan Pardew is hoping he can bring some quality competition to the centre-back position for the likes of Fabricio Coloccini, Mike Williamson and Steven Taylor.
