According to reports, Chelsea and Liverpool are set to battle it out for Portugal international Bruno Alves. The 27-year-old has a £28million release clause in his contract and that amount is certainly within the reach of those teams.

He is considering leaving Porto, with his father, Washington Alves saying: "He is happy at FC Porto but, if the offer is good for the club, he is available to study the matter."
