Portland Timbers have secured the services of defender Rauwshan McKenzie.
The 26-year old has been brought in after the club waived fellow defender Ryan Kawulok who the eighth overall pick in the 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft.
McKenzie has previous MLS experience with Sporting Kansas City, Real Salt Lake and Chivas USA having kicked off his career with the then-named Wizards in 2008.
Last season he made 20 appearances with Chivas who he joined after departing RSL at the end of the 2011 season.
