Portland Timbers and Hanyer Mosquera have agreed to mutually terminate the players contract.
The 26-year old Colombian defender joined the Timbers in January 2012 but after 26 MLS appearances, has decided to return to his home country.
"We respected Hanyer's desire to return to Colombia in order to be closer to family and friends, and we wish him the very best and appreciate his service to the club," Timbers general manager Gavin Wilkinson said in a statement.
