Wolves goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann is unlikely to land at MLS expansion franchise Portland Timbers.
Recent reports have suggested that the 38-year old USA number two was a chance to join Portland when his Wolves contract expires at the end of the current English Premier League season but the fact they have the league's second-highest paid keeper in their ranks in Troy Perkins indicates they will not move for Hahnemann.
A more likely possible home for Hahnemann, who says he would love finish his career in his homeland, would be Seattle, where he kicked off his career in 1994.
The Sounders will lose veteran Kasey Keller at the end of the 2011 season when he retires and Hahnemann would be a perfect replacement although it is unclear on what he would do for the second half of the year.
