Portland Timbers have confirmed the signing of two of their 2014 MLS SuperDraft selections.
The Timbers have secured midfield pair Aaron Long and George Fochive to senior MLS contracts after taking them in last month's draft.
21-year old Long was taken by the Timbers with selection number 36 overall and arrives at the club having starred for the University of California-Riverside from 2010 to 2013. He was a two-time Big West All-Conference selection and scored 13 goals and provided five assists in 71 appearances.
21-year old Fochive becomes a Portland player after being selected with pick number 39 in the draft. Fochive played the past two years at the University of Connecticut, starting 45 games and recording two goals and two assists for the Huskies.
