Portland Timbers and striker Kris Boyd have parted ways according to Soccer By Ives.
The MLS club have reportedly bought out the 29-year olds contract after just 12 months following what many would describe as a failed stint which yielded just seven goals from 26 outings.
The Timbers have now got rid of Boyd's wages from their salary and freed up a Designated Player spot on their roster as the former Rangers and Middlesbrough man gets set to ponder the next move in his career.
