Two Gold Coast United signings are set to join the rest of the squad for pre-season training this Thursday.
Former Hartlepool United striker Joel Porter and ex-Newcastle Jets defender/midfielder Adam Griffiths will take part in their first sessions with their new club.
30-year old Porter returns to Australian soil after six years in England with Hartlepool, where in his last season he registered 23 goals in 45 games for the League One club.
He also picked up the awards for 'Player's Player of the Year' and 'Fan's Player of the Year', as well as being rewarded by the local media with the 'Hartlepool Mail Player of the Year' prize.
A stand-out player in the Hyundai A-League, Griffiths, 29, joins United from the Newcastle Jets.
He will be looking to add to the Championship medal he secured in the 2007/08 Hyundai A-League season and the subsequent Asian Champions League experience this year.
