Port Vale are in talks with a Premier League club over a loan striker.
The Sentinel says the Valiants have been in talks with the top-flight club about the forward as they continue their policy of looking at young talent which could be developed at Vale Park.
Vale have already added 19-year-old Newcastle United defender Remie Streete to their squad on a month's loan from Newcastle United in the last week.
