Port Vale have swooped for Sunderland winger Billy Knott on-loan to season's end.
Knott, aged 21, is not eligible to play in this weekend's FA Cup fourth round tie against Brighton and Hove Albion.
The youngster is cup-tied because he was on loan with a Wycombe Wanderers side that knocked Crewe out of the competition.
