Port Vale finally sever all ties with former boss Gannon

Port Vale have concluded all outstanding issues with former manager Jim Gannon regarding his sacking two months ago. Gannon parted company with the Valiants in March after just three months and 15 games when the club slipped out of the League Two play-off places.

In a statement released via the League Managers Association, Gannon said: "I am very pleased to say that all issues regarding my departure have been amicably and satisfactorily agreed. No details of the settlement were given.

"Now that this matter has been resolved, I look forward to a speedy return to management full of enthusiasm and confidence.

"I wish the club all the very best for the future. With the reappointment of Micky Adams, I am sure the squad will continue to develop next season."

Port Vale Chief Executive Perry Deakin added: "I am pleased that this has been resolved to the satisfaction of both parties.

"On behalf of Port Vale, I would like to wish Mr. Gannon the very best of luck for the future."
