Port Vale boss Martin Foyle is confident Joe Anyon won't let Premiership interest go to his head.

Fulham, Liverpool and Birmingham City have all been linked with the youngster and Foyle says: "He is a level-headed lad. We have to keep his feet on the ground, but he certainly listens to us and trusts our point of view. He is a decent boy and he will go on to better things if he continues what he is doing.

"I just hope he doesn't get sidetracked because I know a lot of young players who have gone by the wayside. They believe things will happen and can slip away very quickly and end up in non-league."
