West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan has been slaughtered by Sporting CP officials over claims they were offered William Carvalho.

Sullivan has claimed Carvalho was offered to the Irons in the final hours of the transfer window on Thursday.

But Sporting comms chief Nuno Saraiva took to Facebook to deny the boasts with a stunning attack.

"David Sullivan is lying," he wrote. "As our chairman said, there was no offer for Carvalho. The football industry is not the set of porn movies, where the obscene is allowed. It's a lot more to be president of a football club.

"Mr. Sullivan has a duty to prove his allegations.

"Therefore, Sporting asks him to show the bids that were supposed to have been done, including those received by us.

"One thing is certain: we do not want to prevent our athletes, but we do not have anything to do if a player or agent of the player offers him without the club's permission, as if a player is inexpensive. This is a deplorable situation and Sporting must take drastic measures to defend us against parasites that go for some players."
