Poor season could prompt Chelsea exit for Courtois

Chelsea's horror Premier League title defence may force Thibaut Courtois out of the club this summer.

Football Insider is reporting that the Belgian goalkeeper will be the subject of interest from Europe's biggest clubs at the end of the season.

It is believed that Chelsea are expecting offers for Courtois and fear they may lose the talented 23-year-old if they fail to win any silverware this campaign.

The Blues are well out of the league title race but are still alive in the Champions League and FA Cup which could be their saving grace regarding the former Atletico Madrid loanee.

Courtois has three years left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge which suggests Chelsea would not allow him to leave West London unless they are offered an enormous fee.

Reports last summer indicated that the Blues had demanded in excess of £70million for the shot-stopper who had been heavily linked with Real Madrid.
