Tottenham's January market moves were a sure sign Harry Redknapp had lost the confidence of the board, it has been revealed.
The Mirror says Redknapp's request to sign Carlos Tevez and Gary Cahill in the January transfer window was refused and he was only allowed to take Louis Saha and Ryan Nelsen on deals until the end of the season.
That was a clear sign chairman Daniel Levy was already thinking beyond Redknapp and the 65-year-old was also criticised inside the club for allowing Steven Pienaar to rejoin Everton on loan, where he excelled.
