Former Lazio skipper Cristiano Bergodi is eyeing a return to Italy.

Currently coaching Romania's FC Politehnica Iasi, Bergodi said: "My biggest dream is to coach Lazio one day, especially having been captain at the Olimpico. Coaching makes me happy. It's my lifestyle, whether I do it in Romania or in Italy.

"I do hope to return home at some point. If it will be at Lazio, that is all the better. But now I owe it to Romania and Politehnica.

"I think I opened some doors here, changing things and managing well at four different clubs in Romania's top Division, thus being a model for others."
