Police confirmed on Sunday that Bolton striker Ivan Klasnic will not face charges over the alleged rape of a teenage girl. Klasnic was arrested by police last October after they received reports a 17-year-old girl had been raped at an apartment in Manchester city centre.
Klasnic was not at the address when officers arrived, shortly before 5am on Monday October 25 last year.
Croatia international Klasnic was arrested some time later and bailed while officers from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) investigated the allegation.
But GMP confirmed that following their investigation he will not face any charges.
A force spokesman said: "A 30-year-old man arrested on suspicion of rape will face no further action."
