Police have confirmed they are trying to find the West Ham fan who shone a green 'laser beam' into the face of Didier Drogba on Saturday.
Although the supporter could not be identified after officials and police were alerted to the incident during the first half of Chelsea's 1-0 victory on Saturday, Scotland Yard on Monday admitted the search to identify the culprit remains a priority.
A spokesperson said: "When the matter was brought to the attention of officials at the time it was not possible to identify the person or persons responsible.
"We will continue to try to identify them."
It is now likely police and Chelsea officials will assess closed-circuit TV tapes in a bid to track down the identity of the fan labelled "stupid" by Drogba after the game.
