Police investigate Twitter abuse of Aberdeen keeper

Twitter abuse aimed at Aberdeen keeper Jamie Langfield after the club's defeat to Celtic is being investigated by police, reports BBC News. An error by Langfield handed Celtic a 1-0 victory on Saturday.

However the custodian was then abused on the social networking site about a brain seizure he had last year.

Teammates have offered their support and Grampian Police said they were making inquiries into a complaint about Twitter comments.
