Pavel Pogrebnyak is hoping to make his FulhamPremier League debut against Stoke on Saturday. The Russia international has been granted a visa and has attended his first training session with the Cottagers.
"I've talked to Martin Jol about it and he asked if I am ready to play. I answered 'yes'.
"I said I feel great and I want to be part of the team as soon as possible."
Pogrebnyak does admit the language barrier is proving to be a problem.
"I have had my first training session and the atmosphere was very pleasant, I liked everything," he said.
"My first impressions have been great.
"Three or four of the guys speak German, so I was able to talk to them. It's difficult to speak English because I have forgotten a lot. I will attend English lessons soon." "I hope I can play and make my debut," the 28 year old told Sovetsky Sport.
