A confident Emanuel Pogatetz feels he will soon reach agreement on a new contract at Middlesbrough. The Austrian defender 18 months remaining on his current deal on Teesside and has repeatedly confirmed his wish to stay.
"The most important thing is we keep our star players," said Pogatetz in the Daily Star Sunday.
"Secondly, we have to see if we have the funds to bring players in.
"We are very young and maybe lack a bit of experience, but I think, in the future, we will have a very good team.
"I have 18 months left on my contract and I'm in talks with the club. Hopefully, we will reach agreement and I'm very confident we will do so."
