Lukas Podolski insists he had no second thoughts about joining Arsenal due to their lack of silverware.
Podolski is acutely aware of Arsenal's failure to win a trophy since 2005 but is quick to argue it is equally important for a player to enjoy his football.
He told The Sun: "It's not important only to win the trophies. You have a lot of people win a World Cup and now they have nothing. They do nothing. People don't speak about them.
"We will fight for the Premier League but it was not important for me when I signed. I wasn't saying 'Oh, they've won nothing for seven years. I don't go there'. I like this club. I like the people."
