Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has paid tribute to retiring goalkeeper Brad Friedel.
The American, 43, hangs up the gloves after today's game with Everton.
"Sometimes emotion in football is difficult and you have to be professional," said Pochettino.
"But if it becomes possible then maybe. You never know.
"Maybe he will be in the squad because this week we've had a problem with Michel Vorm.
"I will make the best decision for the club. But he has been great for Tottenham and we are losing not only a player, but a top man and someone who would always give advice to the younger players. It will be a loss.
"It has been a pleasure to share one season with him. It is a shame I will not share more time with him. He is an unbelievable player, an unbelievable professional."
