Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino has praised his players for their impressive start to the season. Southampton have lost just once in their opening eight games and sit sixth in the Premier League table on 15 points.
"That's one of the signs that certifies that we're on the right path," said Pochettino in the Daily Echo, when asked if his team had been physically and mentally stronger than Manchester United during the closing stages of the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.
"From the start of the season, the team has been putting in an amazing effort.
"They've been having double training sessions every day and it's now, at this time of the season, that we're reaping the benefits of the effort that we put in."
