Pochettino hints he's ready for Levy talks over new Spurs deal

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has hinted he's ready to sign a new contract.

Chairman Daniel Levy turned 56 on Thursday and has been in charge of the north London side since 2001.

Pochettino has been linked with succeeding Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid and when previously asked about a move to La Liga giants, the Tottenham boss said: "You never know in football. That is the problem. It is a very unstable situation."

However, when speaking in his press conference ahead of the North London Derby on Saturday, Pochettino said: "I want to congratulate him – happy birthday Daniel. It's important, and I'm going to see him and try to talk with him and see if we can find some solution."
