Inter Milan have stunned Tottenham Hotspur with two late goals to seal a 2-1 victory at the San Siro on Tuesday night.
Christian Eriksen gave Spurs the lead early on in the second half. The visitors looked likely to claim the victory before goals from Mauro Icardi and Matias Vecino in the dying stages of the game that won it for Inter.
But speaking after the game, Mauricio Pochettino was happy with Tottenham's performance.
"The performance was good from the team, the result should have been different and I think everyone will agree," he offered. The performance was better than Inter Milan but when we conceded after 86 minutes the game was completely different.
"The team deserved much more and I think that was our best performance since we started the season. But we lost the game. "
