Pochettino feels Tottenham lost points at Monaco

Mauricio Pochettino was of the belief that his Tottenham side were denied a deserved victory at Monaco.

Spurs were held 1-1 by the French club at Stade Louis II despite having a great deal of possession and creating the better of the chances throughout the Europa League Group J fixture.

Following the encounter, in which Stephan El Shaarawy's second-half header cancelled out Erik Lamela's 35th-minute tap-in, Pochettino spoke of his side's inability to come away with maximum points from a match they really should have won.

"We lost two points," Pochettino said.

"This is out feeling because (in the) second half we were better.

"The first half was 50/50 and they created some chances, but the second half we had some chances and they create some chances.

"Many crosses we concede and this we need to fix for the next game and when you don't kill the game this can happen."

The draw saw Tottenham remain on top of their group on four points from two outings ahead of October 22 trip to Belgium to take on Anderlecht.
