Pochettino concerned over state of FA Cup opponents Rochdale pitch

Mauricio Pochettino has admitted concern about the pitch at Spotland which will host Tottenham's fifth round FA Cup tie against Rochdale.

"We are going to struggle. Not only us but them too," he says. "The FA need to assess the pitch and make a decision if it's good for the FA Cup. It's not a pitch in a condition to play football.

"It's about to providing a safe place to play for the player. It's a big risk to play on a pitch like this.

"If it's like the picture I have seen then we cannot play football. That is my point of view. Not because we are Tottenham, Rochdale cannot play too. The FA Cup need to go in and make a decision for football."
