Pochettino backs Kane to become Spurs legend

Mauricio Pochettino has touted Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane to become a club legend.

Kane continued his stunning run in front of goal by scoring a marvellous hat-trick during in the 4-0 triumph over Stoke City on Sunday and following the exploits, the 23-year-old has taken his tally for the campaign so far to 22 goals in 27 appearances, including 17 in the league.

Manager Pochettino was unsurprisingly thrilled by Kane's performance and the Argentine stated after the game that the England international is on his way to becoming a legend at the club due to his goals as well as professionalism.

Pochettino said: "I think Harry has the profile to be a legend here.

"Maybe he has started to be a legend with all the goals that he is scoring, how he behaves, how professional he is.

"He has a perfect profile to be a Tottenham legend. He's one of the best [in the world] and I'm very pleased for him. He deserves it - he's a top man.

"He has his character. Sometimes he argues with me, sometimes he is upset with me, sometimes he is happy. He has a strong character."
