Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino believes that Spurs will face a tough transition period when they make a move to the new stadium.
Tottenham have laid the groundwork to temporarily move away from White Hart Lane while their new stadium is built by the start of the 2018/19 Premier League season and the estimated cost of the project is believed to be in the region of around £400-450million.
Due to such a huge investment, Tottenham's spending power in the transfer market is likely to reduce in the coming seasons and Pochettino is well aware of the financial challenges of making the transition into a new stadium.
Pochettino said: "I have read a lot about Arsène Wenger saying the toughest period for Arsenal was in the period that they built their stadium and I think you need to know, and the people need to know, that this is a very tough period for us.
"We need to be careful because we need to arrive at the new stadium in very good condition to try to fight for everything, and try to show that we are one of the best clubs and teams in the world."
