Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are keen on Lyon's Samuel Umtiti.

Recent reports have suggested that the 22-year-old Cameroon-born French defender is a summer target for Spurs which has now been confirmed by manager Pochettino.

"Umtiti is one of the players that our recruitment department is following," he told French radio station RMC.

"He has interesting potential."

France U21 international Umtiti, who plays as a centre-back, has racked up over 160 appearances for Lyon since debuting for the Ligue 1 club in 2012.
