Plymouth to kick on in League Two after Liverpool defeat - Adams

Plymouth Argyle manager Derek Adams was proud of his players following the 1-0 defeat to Liverpool in the FA Cup third-round replay at Home Park on Wednesday night.

The League Two side had managed to hold the Reds to a goalless draw in the original fixture at Anfield, before limiting them to a single goal in the return bout.

Adams is hoping that his players will carry the same performance and spirit into their league season with the Pilgrims currently occupying second spot in the fourth tier of English football.

He said: "We took the game to Liverpool at times and in the end we were unfortunate not to score.

"The players can be proud of themselves tonight, the supporters showed their appreciation throughout.

"Over the two games we have shown we are a good side. Hopefully now we can kick on in League Two."
