Plymouth Argyle have signed teenage striker Lukas Jutkiewicz on loan from Everton until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old, who was born in Southampton, was formerly under the tutelage of Argyle boss Paul Sturrock at Swindon before signing for the Toffees for a reported fee of £400,000, rising to £1million, last summer.

Sturrock said: "Lukas is a fantastic prospect and I'm delighted he is joining us.

"I know him from my time at Swindon and I know what he's all about.

"He's a different type of striker than we have at the club at the moment, and I believe he will fit quickly into what we are doing down here."
