Spartak Moscow goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa is ready to reject a move to Tottenham.
Harry Redknapp last summer identified the 31-year-old as the ideal candidate to press Heurelho Gomes for the No 1 spot at White Hart Lane, but a bid to sign him collapsed when Pletikosa suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury in late August.
Pletikosa said: "I've always said that if I play, I don't want to leave.
"I'm happy here. Next season we will play in the Champions League, which every footballer wants to be part of. However, if I don't get the chance to play, then certainly in the summer I'll find a change in scenery.
"While there is no doubting Pletikosa's talent, he fell out of favour at Spartak last season because of a limit on fielding six foreigners in the Russian Premier League.
"Even the coach said that if there weren't restrictions on foreigners, then I would be in goal."
