Sheffield United boss Danny Wilson is aware any new singings will have to be financed by players leaving the club this summer. The Blades have signed defender Jean-Francois Lescinel from Swindon and striker Danny Philliskirk following his release by Chelsea, while Darius Henderson has been sold to Millwall for an undisclosed fee.
Wilson said: "We're still working on things and we have been for many days now, but we're still in limbo in many respects because we don't know about the outgoings."
He added: "Darius leaving has of course helped to make things slightly easier, but not to the degree of everything is now okay.
"We've still got a long way to go, but Darius moving on has eased things for the club financially.
"We've had one or two clubs sniffing around a couple of other players, but there's nothing concrete at all and I don't expect anything in the next week or so."
