Player exodus to England concerns Hearts boss

Hearts boss Csaba Laszlo is worried at the number of top Scottish players heading South, and the impact that is having on the Scottish game. "We lost some good football players definitely from the league," Laszlo said. "This is my worry at the moment.

"The Championship and also the Premier League, they are not our enemies but they take a lot of players and also managers.

"Look how many good managers work there and not here.

"This must be the time maybe to wake up and do something.

"Fletcher from Hibernian is out, Robbie Neilson from my team is out, Berra is out."

Even Rangers were forced to sell players this summer for purely financial reasons with the likes of Barry Ferguson joining Birmingham and Charlie Adam moving to Blackpool.

Laszlo added: "Think about Rangers - how many players left Rangers?

"Ferguson, a very interesting guy, a very good football player.

"Maybe five or six other players left the Scottish league, especially for the Championship.

"This problem must be discussed, definitely."
