Platt urges Man City to return to winners dais

Manchester City first team coach David Platt says the club will bounce back from this season's Premier League title loss.

Last season's champions have already been beaten by Manchester United in their title defence quest with the Red Devils 16 points clear with four games remaining (five for City) but Platt says the club is determined to return to the winners list after feeling such hurt.

"I see a lot of people saying where did it go wrong for us," Platt told Sky Sports News.

"I think we have had a little bit of a lack of consistency and not won as many games as we could have but you have to give Manchester United credit for the pace they set because the amount of games they won, it would have been hard for any team to stay with them.

"There has to be a determination amongst ourselves. It is not good when you hurt, when you lose it. When you set a season off and you think that you have an opportunity to win it like we did, and like they did last year, that feeling, that hurt is much deeper and more profound than when you win it."
