AS Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic can understand fans being frustrated.
Roma were whistled from the pitch after this midweek's Coppa Italia win over Empoli, but Pjanic says he is not bitter.
"We understand the whistles, but the tifosi must also understand that in every game we always give everything we've got," Pjanic told Sky Italia.
"Even when we're not playing well, as was the case in the first half of the two games against Palermo and Lazio, the team came back and gave signals of strength to try and win the game.
"It's a period in which we're not as brilliant as usual. Maybe we have greater trouble winning matches, but the first half of the championship only just came to an end and we're five points from Juventus.
"Admittedly, though, we wanted to be closer."
