Pjanic and Benatia to debut for Juventus against Tottenham

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has revealed that two summer recruits will step out for the club for the first time this week.

The Bianconeri take on Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur in the 2016 International Champions Cup in Melbourne on Tuesday which will see €32million recruit Miralem Pjanic and loan signing Medhi Benatia make their debuts in Juventus colours.

"Benatia is going to play as well as Pjanic and (Roberto) Pereyra," Allegri said at the pre-match press conference.

"Probably we are going to play with four defenders with either a young player or Alex Sandro at right-back."

Allegri also indicated that this second match of the Melbourne leg of the ICC will provide a much different look into how the five-in-a-row Serie A champions want to play after a subdued start against A-League club Melbourne Victory on Saturday night.

"It is an important test. We will use it to test our condition," added Allegri.

"We will then finish our training season for the summer in Hong Kong.

"Tomorrow is going to be a very different game.

"There is going to be more intensity.

"I am going to try and play the players who played the first half of the last game more, even though it was only the first match.

"We are not sure if they are in the ideal condition to play a full match.

"Again, tomorrow we are going to see a different, more intense game."
