Pizarro wants to make history with Man City

David Pizarro wants to make history with Manchester City.

City have not won the league title since 1968 and after Tuesday night's slip at Everton are now only ahead of arch-rivals Manchester United on goal difference.

Pizarro, who has joined from Roma until the end of the season, said: "I'm aware of the huge investment that has been made and that it's a long time since they won the title.

"The period that Inter started winning trophies coincided with Roberto's arrival so let's hope that history repeats itself and that we start winning trophies at Manchester City.

"It's a great opportunity to come here and create history.

"Hopefully I can come here and help them win the title.

"I arrived with City at the top of the league, they still are and let's hope we can finish the season in that place."
