Pizarro keeps Chelsea boss Grant satisfied

Claudio Pizarro's 20-yard shot in the 29th minute rebounded off QPR keeper Lee Camp's right-hand upright and then hit his back before spinning over the line for the deciding goal.

The FA Cup holders struggled to overcome the battling Championship side but Grant was pleased with the performance of his side.

The Israeli said: "It was a typical cup game. We did our job, that is most important for me. We are in the next round.

"QPR played tactically very well. They were very clever and closed the space very well.

"It was a game like we expected. We held the ball most of the time. They tried to score at set-pieces. We scored one goal and created more chances but what is important is to be in the next round. In the cup it is important to do your job and we did that."

Grant also picked out third-choice goalkeeper Hilario for particular praise as he continues to stand in for the injured Petr Cech and Carlo Cudicini.

Both goalkeepers could be available for the Carling Cup semi-final against Everton on Tuesday night but Grant added: "It is time to say a good word about Hilario.

"He is the third goalkeeper here but he is always doing his job. He is very professional and a great goalkeeper. We are lucky to have him as a third goalkeeper."
