Pitman eyeing Premier League fairytale with Bournemouth

AFC Bournemouth striker Brett Pitman finds it hard to believe the fairytale he's been living with the club.

Six years ago, Pitman played in the 2-1 win over Grimsby in April 2009 which saved the Cherries from relegation to the Conference and subsequently bankruptcy.

Following Monday night's 3-0 win over Bolton, 27-year old forward Pitman is now set to feature in the Premier League with the Dorset outfit next season where he will become the first-ever player to represent the club in all four divisions.

Of the monumental rise, Pitman said: "If you'd told me six years ago, when we beat Grimsby that we'd be promoted to the Premier League I don't think anyone would have believed you.

"I've been here since I was in the youth team and to come all the way and play in every league would be lovely.

"We've been far and away one of the best teams in the league, if not the best team. We've been up there the whole season and it's nice to finish it off."
